Where are ICO fire suppression mist sprinkler systems connected?

The fire suppression system can be connected to third party equipment such as fire alarm systems.

Can ICO fire suppression systems be installed without removing plasterboard from the property?

Yes, similar to spotlight installation, the system can be installed without removing plasterboard. It’s hassle-free installation with flexible tube and easy fixing nozzle make it super easy to install, reducing labour costs dramatically.

Does these fire sprinkler systems have to be installed by certified individuals?

Yes, the product must be installed by a certified ICO installer in order to conform with the BS:8458 watermist standard. Here at SRC Group, we’re on the list of approved installers of the ICO fire suppression system, serving the West Midlands with this innovative fire sprinkler system.

How does the nozzle work?

Each fire sprinkler nozzle installed has a frangible bulb. When a fire occurs, the heat causes the bulb to burst, activating the system and allowing mist to exit through the nozzle to extinguish the fire using 80% less water than regular fire sprinkler systems, ideal for the domestic environment.

How big is the pump unit?

The domestic fire sprinkler system pump is sleek & compact at just 350mm x 281mm x 270mm and weighing just 16kg. It can be connected directly to the mains water, it uses 80% less water meaning it has less of an environmental impact than regular fire sprinkler systems.

Where can ICO fire suppression systems be used?

ICO mist sprinkler systems can be installed for domestic properties in buildings such as:

  • Individual houses and flats

  • Transportable homes

  • Bed & breakfast accommodation

  • Boarding houses

  • Blocks of flats 18m or less in height with a maximum floor area of 2400m2
